Nordic Kayaks K1– fast racing kayaks with hull shapes developed from our surf skis based on optimal hydrodynamics which together with our extremely light carbon fiber construction provides very easily driven kayaks regardless of whether you choose 45, 43, 41 or 40 cm width.
Of course, there is a little more top speed to pick up in K1 40 which is suited for top racing paddlers and comes in two sizes L(70-85) and XL(80+).
The K1 40 XL is a proven, very fast hull designed for larger paddlers over 80 kg and performs exceptionally well in both sprint and marathon racing.
The K1 40 L is our latest hull shape for racing and marathon paddlers in the 70–85 kg range, known for its adaptable behavior and efficient wash handling.
The seat is designed to provide good support around the entire seat cup. This makes the difference from a more open typical seat: you sit more comfortably for a longer period of time. The back end is sloping and enables good rotation and leg work. The seats are adjustable in four heights depending on what you prefer.
The footrest comes as two choices, either pedals or more typical T-bar steering, both fit in the same adjustment system. Together with our adjustable foot strap it gives the paddler good and stable foot rest with a quick steering response.
